Here's the bare minimum requirements to become a licensed insurance agent in Ohio (and, I would presume, the other 57 states):
"To obtain a resident agent’s license, applicants must claim Ohio as their home state. Applicants must complete required pre-licensing education with an approved provider. Applicants must complete the Uniform Resident Agent Application and complete a criminal background check after successfully passing at least one of the following lines of insurance" [emphasis added]
And here's HHS Secretary Shecantbeserious testifying (under oath) before Congress yesterday:
"Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius [sic] said today that Obamacare navigators don't need to undergo criminal background checks ... "So a convicted felon could be a navigator and could acquire sensitive personal information from an individual unbeknownst to them?"
Care to guess her response?
Here ya go:
We've covered this before, but it's nice to hear it from the horse's, er, mouth.
